Paul Riley’s artistic career began at the age of fifteen, when one of his paintings was accepted by the Royal Academy for its Summer Exhibition, making him at that time the youngest painter to have exhibited at the Academy. He has written three instructional books on watercolour painting, spends much of his time running courses from his studios in south Devon, and has contributed to the series on ‘Monet’s Gardens’ for BBC 2. His vibrant watercolours and other work have been exhibited internationally, and he is currently represented by the Catto Gallery in London.
